Yes, latex mattresses have the downside of generally being more expensive, but let's rethink priorities.
Sleep does not only affect your time at night or in the morning, it also affects your whole day and consequently your life. That's why investing in a healthy latex mattress is so important.
Why is a Healthy Sleep So Important?
Apart from giving us a feeling of rest and energy to start another day, good sleep also helps having:
- A better memory and performance at work and school.
- More emotional and social intelligence.
- Stronger immune system.
- Better athletic performance, since you'll have more energy, a faster speed, better brain function, etc.
- Better calorie regulation.
Why a Latex Mattress is the Best Option
Talalay Latex is known for its open cell structure. These cells are formed during our 9-step production process. This creates support and pressure relief at the same time. Talalay latex contains millions of small round cells that carry you while you move and, therefore, create an aligned body posture (support) at the same time as giving you relief on your muscles and skin so that you do not build up any pressure.
- Breathability/ Temperature regulator
The breathability of our latex impacts moisture and heat management. The pins in the material ensure even temperature distribution and make sure that all latex reaches the same cold temperature (-30ᵒC/-22ᵒF) and warmth (+115ᵒC/+238ᵒF). Without the pins, the latex will not “cure” evenly and would be less durable
The bounciness of a mattress is important - allowing a person to move better during their sleep. Vita Talalay latex is responsive to your body, adapting to your sleep position instantly. The roundness of Talalay latex bounces back providing you with support and pressure relief. Pressure relief suggests that your muscles and joints are relaxed while also allowing your blood to circulate easily.
One of the reasons why Talalay latex is durable, is because of its density – allowing you to get up to 10 years of quality sleep. The durability of our mattresses are tested with our durability bouncer, which bounce up to 8,000 times on the mattress: this is equivalent to someone going to sleep everyday for 10 years.
Talalay Latex is also known for being natural. The material comes from the Havea Brasiliensis tree which grows mostly in the Amazon rainforests. At first, people may think that it is harmful for the nature to plant these trees meant for our production. However, not only do the trees boost the biological diversity of the environment they are planted, but they also stay in the same place without being cut down. In other words, the white milky sap that the tree produces, is only extracted from the tree, without cutting it down.
Our latex products are produced with the purest quality latex imported from Asia and South America. Vita Talalay uses a patented 9-step production process that takes around 9 hours, giving the Latex optimum ventilation and support features. In addition, our quality controls are persistent and ensure the best standard.
Partly due to the breathable feature, Latex mattresses and products are naturally dust-mite resistant. Dust-mites live on fungus which keep themselves alive and reproduce on high temperatures. By maintaining the right temperature, these insects have no grounds to developed. It has been proved by TEC Institute that dust-mites live preferably on different types of materials.
Hypoallergenic means that the materials & chemicals used to make a certain product did not cause an allergic reaction in the subjects upon which they were tested.
In addition, it also means that there are fewer amounts of a certain allergen in the product itself once it hits the shelves.

Other Sleeping Tips
- Stick to a sleeping Schedule. Going to bed and waking up at the same time every day can reinforce the circadian rhythm and be prompted to go to sleep at the same time every night. The outcome is that our bodily functions and cycles operate efficiently, keeping our system strong and energized.
- Doing some type of exercise every day. Whether it is just biking to your work, going on a 10-minute run, doing exercise can decrease the time it takes for you to fall asleep at night.
- Create a nice sleep environment. One of the most important factors to keep in mind when preparing to go to bed is to have the right sleep temperature, which is 65 degrees Fahrenheit (18.3 degrees Celsius).
- Don't take naps after mid-afternoon and keep them short in order to wake up energized.
